Patch 1.35 can be used as a more lightweight (118 MB) alternative to the 11 GB Enhanced Edition (3.0) patch for the owners of retail copies of the release (1.0) version of The Witcher 2, which requires patching to run. This patch adds a new free DLC package, bug fixes, and more. Read the readme for details. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is the sequel to developer CD Projekt's mature-themed fantasy role. The latest patch is here. Versions of the patch 1.4 downloaded before August 2011 will not work. This links to information on how to upgrade from the original version to the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher. The patch is cumulative and contains all updates included in the previous patches. Download links (Patch 1.4 or Enhanced Edition). The 1.2a patch for The Witcher. Dear Leondres
What do you mean address the resolution support?
Performance is not only the work for CDP, it's a problem in drivers of ATI and NVIDIA.
There will be hotfix for both of them and I think game will be more optimized.
I have i5-750 and ATI 5850 and I can play Ultra Details without ubersampling, which is future technology and I have got more then 30 FPS. 30 FPS is enough to play smooth.
Best regards.

The game currently doesn't support the correct aspect ratio for 16:10-, 5:4- and 4:3-resolutions, only 16:9-resolutions are supported natively.

Dear mitcharts
I know that, but show me the game on the market ever released, which was from the beginning without any problems, bugs. This game isn't a tiny game, it's got new engine and massive world and plenty effects, you will have in The Witcher more units on the screen during fight and exploring then in Crysis 2. Crysis 2 has got for whole game as many units to fight with as The Witcher in the first scene in the camp, and everything is living here.
The Witcher was great game and the debut from CDP, which is from Poland, there are plenty people that even don't know where the Poland is on the Worlds map. I am very happy that my country fellows starting to create good level games as The Witcher, The Witcher 2, Bulletstorm.
Lots of people work on The Witcher 2 project, game costs 30.000.000 PLN.
Best regards.

Easy pal ... ! :)
I didn't expected a 'zero problem'-release at all. And I know that every new released game has it's flaws, so does 'The Witcher 2'. That's not the point at all.
From the experience I had with 'The Witcher 1' I expect nothing else than CDPR's full commitment to solve all those issues they (and we customers) came across.
But, according to some german magazines, CDRP stated, that the game initially only supports the nativ 16:9-resolution and all the others will only work with letterboxing.
Every other game that's been released over the years (except Assassins Creed) did support all resolutions with their correct aspect ratio.
IF those magazines are correct and the information is solid, my question is: Why did CDRP cut out the support for the correct aspect ratio for certain resolutions in the first place just to deliver it with a patch after the release?

Dear ARustyFirePlace
I think the CDR goal is to earn as much as they can, they will not reach that goal, if they will piss on their customers, so I think they will fix problems with their own game releasing new patches. Everything you may do is wait... :) ...and you will be rewarded.
Give them a break it's a 3th day since they give the game to public.
Best regards.

it's all well and good that's it's been 3 days, but this is something they should have noticed, and it seems like the game was rushed.
Hydrophobia Prophecy, a game made by a small indie dev just recently, had 3 patches in 3 days.

This should be critical fix up to their to-do list. The game is atm pretty much unplayable as I wont be using stereo to lose all immersion with 5.1 surround setup. I wonder how they failed to test this before release :/VAMET

Dear ARustyFirePlace
Yes, I agree, CDR has not do their homework and should do it better, prepare before giving their product to public.
...but our talking here will not faster releasing of the patch.
All we can do now is waiting for the patch and if they will no handle the problems, we will have right to give them a thumb down. I don't think that they will not support, because it will be the end of them. I think there will be The Witcher 3, so they will do everything to put a finger to our ass :) ...to pleasure us :) ;)
Best regards.
EDIT
Sorry for my direct English, but I have learned this language on my own, I am Polish, but I was living as a child in Africa - Angola (from 1st year of life to 6th) and speaking in portuguese.
Sincerely
